Sometimes you wear your heart on your sleeve,
but most of the time you wear jerseys.  Sometimes
you wear the same sad smile for days
but mostly it wears you;

nights pass
and I still don’t know why
it’s harder to slip on ice than it is to give you the slip.
Sometimes I slip up and
everything falls down.  It’s hard to explain
myself when I’ve bitten off more than I can chew
when all I can think is
what a tiny bite what a tiny bite what a tiny –

if this is not a dream, then
the following must be true:
god has a past and
it’s sexy and mysterious and
makes you want to come so hard.
When it’s all over I’ll miss the old tenses
the ones that meant then and
a long time then and
maybe later, but more importantly
now.

What your hands look like. Is each number a finger? What's the significance of 1 and 5 missing.

Your line about God, mysterious is totally sexy. I'm totally a fan of expanding sexy out side of what people normally confine it to.
